A leading financial services organisation created an immersive, 3D web-based experience for new members and graduate professionals
One of the largest financial services organisations tailored exclusively for graduate professionals in South Africa created a 3D gamified web experience for new members.
The platform is a modernised and engaging way of helping new members discover the values, services and benefits of the company’s offerings in an accessible environment.
They asked Auxo Digital to build this three-dimensional social experience so it connected with existing members, enticed new members and provided them with a rich ecosystem that would bring them deeper into the PPS environment.
The solution had to provide new members with relevant information in a way that bypassed the traditional layouts of long lists and dense copy that were difficult to navigate. The goal was to create an exciting and interactive space that was attractive to a younger demographic.
The project had to:
Appeal to a younger generation of users without alienating older members
Provide insights and information to members that would assist advisors in showcasing what PPS products and services look like
Auxo Digital’s engineering team developed a three-dimensional world where graduates can discover different products and services through gamified experiences.
Education meets immersion
The team also created an analytics dashboard that complemented the gamified experience provided by the site - it provided PPS with detailed insights into usage, engagement and statistics which enhanced their own decision-making and planning.
Creating this experience started with modelling inside Blender. The goal was to ensure the platform worked smoothly on the internet and was supported by R3F, a renderer for three js, a WebGL framework, and GSAP (Green Sock Animation Platform) for the animations and interactive components. Each part of the solution was selected for its ability to create a gamified 3D experience that taught new and existing members about the services on offer.
A holistic experience
The solution has since evolved from a proof-of-concept idea to a dynamic and hugely successful 3D experience currently being rolled out throughout the company. Phase two of this project will involve integrating the tool into the wider corporate ecosystem, allowing for the creation of even more innovative ideas designed specifically to drive member engagement and education while showcasing the expertise of the organisation.
Already, Auxo Digital has created a way for advisors to seamlessly connect with their users by creating a URL that can be sent to potential members. The latter can use the link to join the company in just one click, and it has fundamentally changed how members engage with advisors and has made the process significantly simpler.
